This program builds on the excellence and rigorous standards of all our programs, but is tailored to meet the needs of today’s dynamic executive.

The Executive Program is offered in downtown Vancouver and in Victoria, in partnership with UVic Faculty of Business. This two-year part-time program consists of two distinct steps:
Year 1: The Foundation Phase
This 42-week technical component covers the core material in an undergraduate program in business and
financial management. In this component, candidates expand their knowledge in business areas such as
financial reporting, performance management and measurement, taxation, consolidations, financial management,
risk management and governance, and strategic management. Modules may include both independent study as well
as interactive classroom sessions:
Year 2: The Application Phase
Building on the sound accounting and business skills candidates have acquired through The Foundation Phase
and their own practical management experience, the Application Phase – the Strategic Leadership Component
equips participants with the best of contemporary and emerging financial strategic management practices used
by today's successful enterprises.
The Application Phase, participants learn innovative practices and develop an integrative perspective that embraces both the big picture as well as operational realities. Upon completion of this component, candidates understand the way tools in the area of strategy, management, accounting, operations, marketing, and information technology jointly inform and guide strategic planning and implementation through all phases of a product life cycle.

Application to the CMA Executive Program is competitive. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be required to attend an interview and provide professional references. Please note that meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
