Accredited Degree Programs
CMA Canada has established accreditation processes to ensure university business schools meet the quality
educational standards required for business graduates to challenge the CMA National Entrance Exam.
CMA students who have graduated from the following programs & meet the guidelines as listed
below are eligible to be exempt from the CMA National Entrance Exam:

Please note that in order to be exempt from the National Entrance Exam students must meet all of
the requirements as listed below:
- Students must complete one of the accredited programs as listed above. Those who completed their
degree no more than one year prior to the effective date can also be considered, provided the courses they
took match those required in the approved program.
- Students must complete all 16 CMA topics as listed on the Advanced Standing Guide at the accredited institution or the courses must be listed as
accepted course transfers on your University transcripts.
- Okanagan*, SFU* and UBC* graduates must have received 60% or better in each of the 16 CMA
Syllabus topics. Capilano and Kwantlen graduates must have obtained at least a 3.0 (“B”)grade point average
for their overall BBA degree, in addition to also receiving at least 60% or “C” in each of the 16 CMA
pre-requisite topics.
- Students must enroll in the Strategic Leadership Program, within 3 years after their university
graduation date to exercise this exemption. Note: Students under this accreditation path must still write the
CMA Case exam after phase one of the Strategic Leadership Program.
*SFU, UBC and Okanagan College students completing their degrees after December 2010 will also require a
75% or “B” average for their degree program.
