Strategic Leadership Program

Program Overview

After successfully completing the Entrance Examination, candidates progress through the two-year Strategic Leadership Program concurrent with full-time employment. The program consists of two phases: Development and Application. Each phase develops and integrates the six functional competencies and four enabling competencies as described in the CMA Competency Map.

Each phase is comprised of three Modules and each Module includes a set of written assignments and a two-day in-class Interactive Session, facilitated by program markers and moderators.

In addition to the Module assignments, the milestones for the program are the Case Exam, written at the end of the Development Phase and the Board Report, written and presented in groups of 3-6 at the end of the Application Phase.

Within the two-year program, there are minimum requirements that need to be met at certain milestones to proceed with the program. The specifics will be provided to each individual intake.

Candidates who have completed an Accredited degree program are required to submit the following documentation prior to enrolling in SLP:

  • Official transcript review, showing completion of the Accredited degree program and required pre-requisite coursework
  • CMA Student Membership form

Registration packages will be automatically issued to all eligible candidates approximately 1 month prior to each offering of the Strategic Leadership Program.
